Emmitt was born Dec 3, 1873. He died Feb 2, 1959.
Emmitt was married to Adeline Virginia Shelton who was better know as Jennie Shelton. The wedding took place in the home of Sally Shelton (I do not know date of wedding)
Jennie was born Aug 19, 1873 and died July 16, 1942
Jennie and Emmitt are buried side by side in the Oak Grove Baptist Church Cemetery. Their gravesites are in the older part of the cemetery.
Emmitt was son of William F. Woods and Elizabeth Frances Slate.
Jennie was the daughter of William B. Shelton and Sallie Joyce.
