William Jackson Wilkins evidently wanted to be know as “Willie”. Willie was his nickname but it is the name engraved on his headstone. I can relate to that.
Willie was born July 7, 1901 in Stokes County, NC and died Dec 1, 1957 in Stokes County, NC. Willie was married to Nancy Matilda Reid.
My information is that they had one son….Ronnie Fletcher Wilkins….
Willie’s parents were John Ulysses Wilkins and Alice Elliot Wilkins
Willie was grandson of Billy Wilkins and was second cousin to my grandmother Minnie Dale Robertson Woods
